Love All Things Fall and Want to Dive In?

Whose young ones are counting down the days until Halloween? Every morning, mine run to the calendar and exclaim “mom, only (fill in the blank) days until Halloween!”

Along with all the excitement, there are so many other things that signal fall is here. Like the first crisp breeze that cuts through the summer heat. Breaking out and dusting off the boots and sweaters. Finding good slow cooker soup recipes that simmer all day and fill the house with yummy aroma. Kids getting excited about what they are going to be for Halloween. And finally, the Halloween and fall décor that suddenly appears in your local stores (even if this happens before summer officially ends.)

With Halloween literally right around the corner, I wanted to share some cute books that celebrate the season. These are all by talented Independent Authors and all would love the support that helps us to break through the stiff competition online and in stores. All are available on Amazon – book links below.

With such cute and colorful illustrations and easy to read rhyming text, it’s a fun book for Halloween and a cool tool that encourages and reinforces the concept of time for young learners. It’s currently rated 5stars on Amazon and would be such a fun addition to your home bookshelf.

Ben’s Adventures: Under the Big Top! by yours truly – admittedly NOT a Halloween book, but it is about all the fun that kids have at school (and is currently ranked #1 New Release in Back to School books on Amazon.) With themes of inclusion, joy and adventure, Ben shows that kids are more alike than they are different.

Autumn Song by Anetta Kotowicz – This unique picture book captures all the senses that are Autumn, from falling leaves, gentle breezes, chestnuts and acorns, apple picking and jack-o-lanterns. It encourages getting children out to explore nature and appreciate the changing seasons in the world around them. It weaves music and beats with words, giving rhythm to the season. On Amazon.

princess pumpkin patch.jpg

Princess Pumpkin Patch by Andi Cann – This beautifully-illustrated picture book has such important messages of self-worth and purpose for young readers. She finds her answer after meeting a couple of interesting characters along the way.

On Halloween by Katherine Viers - This is a nice book to wrap up my list. On Halloween provides a simple look at friendship among expected Halloween characters such as a witch, pumpkin and ghost. It will give your little reader an understanding that all types of people can be their friend. The simple rhyming text is paired with elaborate illustrations.
